Recently , Islamabad Police has launched a campaign aimed at keeping an eye on school students so that they do not indulge in negative activities by skipping classes during school hours.

District Police Officer (DPO) Rural Zone Islamabad Farooq Amjad while talking to said that the basic This is an initiative of the Safe City Project.
He said: 'Safe City cameras have been checked several times during surveillance to find that many children skip school and may fall into bad company or turn to drugs. And may engage in activities that are not good for them or their parents.'
He said that no student was arrested in this regard but their parents were called to the police station.

According to the data provided by the Islamabad Police, the Islamabad Police have handed over 105 school-banking students to their parents or guardians after taking them into custody.
Ibtisam Javed, a mother of a student, while speaking to Navida weekly on the issue, appreciated the initiative of the Islamabad Police.
Ibtisam said: 'This initiative will help protect children from bad company, especially drugs. During school hours children should go to school to read and write. But at the same time, the responsibility is also imposed on the schools.
If the school administration works together with the police, then the children can also be attracted to study. This campaign can also improve the community.'
